CleanLease announced its acquisition to Active Capital Company

Egeria has entered into an agreement to sell its stake in CleanLease to Active Capital Company (ACC). The acquisition enhances CleanLease’s capital position to invest heavily in its production locations and organization in the coming years.

Axeco Corporate Finance is pleased to have advised CleanLease

CleanLease found a new investor, Active Capital Company, who acquired the stake of investment company Egeria. The new capital will be fully invested to better tailor the service to customers. For example, substantial investments will be made in both the Netherlands and Belgium in further specializing the physical locations, so that the quality of the service is improved and offered to customers through innovation in process and logistics. These investments will also improve productivity and quality.

The change of investment company also means that changes are taking place within the management of CleanLease. Current CEO Job Muller will step down and will be succeeded by Theo Lantinga, who has been a shareholder and director of CleanLease since 2017 from investment company ACE. “I am proud that we can continue to build on this great company and that, together with our 1,200 employees at eleven locations in the Netherlands and Belgium, we can focus on services that are close to our customers”.

He continues, “In recent years, CleanLease has improved its operation and footprint under difficult market conditions and with this recapitalization the balance sheet has now also been further strengthened to enable future-oriented investments”.

Through agreements with its financiers and a substantial capital injection of many millions, CleanLease will be able to strengthen its market position. Knowledge of laundry technology and logistics is also brought in from the new asset provider ACC.
